Betacarotene is a plant pigment that gives red, orange, and yellow vegetables their vibrant colour (most famously carrots). However, we source ours from Blakeslea Trispora, a healthy type of fungus. When ingested, this carotenoid converts to vitamin A, a powerful antioxidant with a unique ability to ward off the harmful effects of free radicals. Beta-carotene also supports immunes system health and skin health.
