Super C 1000 contains vitamin C as calcium ascorbate, a buffered form of vitamin C that is gentler on the stomach, as the calcium helps to neutralise the acidity of ascorbic acid. Vitamin C helps to reduce the duration of the common cold, and it assists in the reduction of symptom severity in mild upper respiratory tract infections. Vitamin C also supports healthy immune system function.

Due to its role in the formation of collagen and connective tissue, vitamin C is important for the structural integrity of the skin, bones, muscles, organ and blood vessels. It also helps to maintain healthy capillaries. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from the effects of free radical damage.

Vitamin C is a water-soluble nutrient easily excreted by the body and can be consumed daily as part of a balanced diet. Dietary sources of vitamin C and bioflavonoids include citrus fruits, kiwi fruit, red and green capsicum and a wide range of other fruits and veggies.

  • Rutoside trihydrate (rutin) 50 mg
