Ways to heal with Traumeel
What is Traumeel? Have you heard of it?
Traumeel is a naturally formulated homeopathic remedy that has been in production for over 60 years and sold in over 50 countries. Traumeel is predominately used to support acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains, aches and pains.
How does it work?
Traumeel’s main priority is to reduce musculoskeletal inflammation. Inflammation is a complex process; a cascade of chemical reactions occurs within the body in order to rectify the situation. During this process pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines are having a great time generating pain, heat, swelling and redness. Traumeel works to restore the balance of these chemical mediators in order to reduce inflammation. If inflammation is reduced, so is pain and other associated symptoms.
When to use Traumeel?
Most of us have experienced unwanted and unpleasant muscle aches and pains as well as bumps and bruises. Let’s face the facts, no one wants to put up with it, so why should we? Traumeel may be the answer!
Clinical studies have suggested Traumeel cream and gel provides as much relief as leading Non Steroidal Anti-inflammatory gels. A multicentre, randomised, blinded, controlled and non-inferiority trial involving 449 participants with an ankle sprain applied either NSAID gel or Traumeel cream or gel to the affected area for 6 weeks. The results show that Traumeel decreased pain and improved joint function to the same extent as the NSAID gel.
Traumeel may provide relief from pain and inflammation for all of the following conditions;
- Sprains and strains.
- Acute musculoskeletal injuries.
- Bruising.
- Arthritis.
- Lower back pain.
- Repetitive strain or tendon pain.
- Menstrual pain.
- Swelling due to trauma.
Topical versus Oral? Can I use both?
Traumeel comes in the form of cream, gel, tablets or oral drops. Whatever the form you choose application is effortless.
Traumeel cream and gel is suitable for localised symptomatic relief, such as a sprained ankle or tight muscle, whereas the tablets are useful in inflammatory conditions where the cream or gel can’t quite get to. Or try the 2 together! Traumeel can be applied topically alongside internal use for an additive affect.
Please be sure to check if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients before use and always seek medical advice before starting a new supplement and if you have concerns with drug interactions.
