Benefits of Organic Skin Care Products

Posted by ANCP

Why choose organic skin care products?

Organic skin care products have been popping up everywhere lately. Some consumers believe this is a new trend, however, this organic takeover is happening for good reason and will not be going away anytime soon. What is so special about organic skin care products that makes them different from your average skin products? Here are many reasons why organic is better for your skin and why you should consider choosing them.

Benefits of using organic skin products:

Beauty is created from the inside and out. Using all-natural ingredients on your face is one of the easiest ways to help yourself to beautiful, healthy skin. We can't always see what is going on underneath our skin, however, we can make sure we protect it from the outside by using organic skin care products.

Organic skin care products are kinder to the skin:

Organic skin care products are normally gentler to use than regular products that contain harsh chemicals and parabens. Studies have suggested that some beauty chemicals can cause allergic reactions and irritation. Our skin absorbs whatever types of chemicals, creams, and lotions that we apply to it, therefore, we believe we should only put on our skin what we would put in our bodies.

What products to avoid:

Many consumers are not aware of all of the chemicals in regular skin care products on the market today. Your basic face cream may include sodium lauryl sulphate, propylene glycol, parabens, imidazolidinyl- and diazolidinyl-urea, stearalkonium chloride or triethanolamine just to name a few. If you are looking for more natural beauty products these are very common ingredients you may want to avoid.

Ingredients to look for:

When shopping for organic skin products, always make sure no matter how "natural" or "organic" the label says, check the ingredients. Some products can be misleading and once you read the ingredients, you will find they are not organic or natural at all. Look for a few simple words that you can actually read and pronounce, such as coconut, olive and rose hip oils. Products which have a few ingredients that are recognisable are best. No matter which brand you choose, organic or not, we suggest you always read the ingredients list on the side of the product.
