Collagen is a protein, made up of amino acids. It provides extracellular support and structure for connective tissue, including your skin, cartilage and bones and is thus extremely beneficial in the repair and maintenance of skin, hair and nail health. Hydrolysed collagen provides collagen peptides made up of the amino acids, which the body can use as building blocks, along with other cofactors such as Vitamin C and Zinc, for collagen production.
The formula also contains Australian grown kakadu plum that can help support collagen formation and connective tissue health due to its extraordinary richness in vitamin C. We chose to include Kakadu plum, a unique Australian-grown ingredient, because it is one of the world's richest natural sources of vitamin C, while also delivering the benefits of locally sourced Australian flora.
Zinc and biotin work together to support nail growth, health, strength and thickness. Zinc and biotin also support hair health and growth, when dietary intake of these two nutrients is low.
