Introducing Our Brand New Skin Care Range
We are proud to announce that Australian NaturalCare has its very own skin care range, called Ageless Skin! The products in our skin care range are enriched with natural moisturisers, vitamins and antioxidants to boost the skin’s natural resilience as well as help reduce the visible signs of aging.
Our range currently features three key products:
Each of the products in our Ageless Skin range are free from additives like sulphates, phthalates, petroleum products, synthetic fragrances and parabens and are not tested on animals.
Have you ever wondered what active ingredients make up your skin care products? Amongst the foreign-looking, scientific jargon, do you know which ingredients are in fact helpful for your skin and which ingredients are potentially harmful or ineffective?
Here, we have provided a breakdown of the bioactive ingredients that make up our three skin care products to help you understand what these active ingredients do on a cellular level and how they can benefit your skin.
Bioactive Peptides
Bioactive peptides are typically derived from plants, and are also naturally found in our skin. They contain a number of amino acids and have a broad range of functions when applied topically to the skin, particularly targeting skin elasticity.
Eyeseryl™ is a bioactive tetrapeptide found in our Illuminating Eye Cream. It improves skin elasticity around the eyes and reduces eye bag puffiness and dark circles. Derived from sunflower, rapeseed and field mustard seeds, Eyeseryl™ possesses decongestant, anti-oedema and anti-dark circle activity to keep the eyes looking firm, bright and youthful.
As we age, a protein called progerin accumulates in our skin which causes DNA damage to our skin cells, greatly contributing to the appearance of the signs of ageing. Progeline™ which is a bioactive peptide found in our Brighten & Firm Facial Serum significantly decreases the production of progerin, attesting to its potential as an anti-ageing ingredient. It works in the dermis layer of the skin to reduce sagging, slackness and wrinkles, especially in the jawline or jowls of the face. Progeline™ contains glycerine that helps attract moisture to the skin cells, contributing to an overall youthful and hydrated complexion.
Botanical Extracts
We take pride in harnessing the power of nature by using clinically proven botanical extracts to achieve beautiful, youthful looking skin.
Lime Pearl™ is a botanical extract found in our Revital Q10 Night Cream. Derived from the juicy, caviar pearls of the finger lime plant, this extract is rich in natural skin exfoliators that help remove old and dull skin cells to achieve radiant, soft and supple skin. As most citrus species, caviar lime pearls contain an array of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants important for overall skin health.
One of the most common findings in ageing skin is the flattening of the junction between the dermis and the epidermis, causing the skin to look less supple, particularly around the eyes. Gatuline™ is a botanical extract from the herb horse chestnut found in our Illuminating Eye Cream, which acts directly underneath eye wrinkles at the dermal-epidermal junction to achieve a younger and fresher appearance.
Other Active Ingredients
Our Revital Q10 Night Cream contains an ingredient called FucoReverse™ which is a biologically active ingredient that helps to protect and repair the dermis layer of the skin. FucoReverse™ is made up of fucose, an essential sugar only present in nature, some mushrooms and the cell walls of brown algae. This nature-derived ingredient works on a cellular level in the skin for advanced cosmetic activity, absorbing well into the dermis layer of the skin to protect against collagen damage and oxidative stress.
Our Revital Q10 Night Cream is also comprised of Riboxyl™, an ingredient derived from corn seeds known as a ‘natural cell energiser.’ Its main action on the skin is through the stimulation of ATP which is the energy currency that each and every cell in our body uses to function properly. As we age, our body’s ability to produce ATP decreases, which results in an acceleration of the signs of ageing like wrinkles, loss of elasticity and dulled complexion. Riboxyl™ forms a fundamental building block of the ATP structure, helping to increase collagen, hyaluronic acid, elastin and fibronectin in the skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve skin elasticity.
Our Brighten & Firm Facial Serum features ascorbyl glucoside, a water-soluble derivative of vitamin C that acts as a powerful antioxidant. Ascorbyl glucoside promotes an even skin tone whilst brightening the complexion.
