No one likes being sick, but unless we lock ourselves away in isolation, chances are we will be exposed to things like the common cold at various times in our lives. Luckily, there are other ways of reducing our chances of getting sick that don’t involve isolation. The best way to do this is, by strengthening our immune system so that it’s able to fight off any potential bugs quickly and efficiently, before they have a chance to take hold. Vitamin C, for instance, can help enhance the activity of our immune cells, it seems to work best when taken prophylactically.
